iCASP projects use existing environmental science to address a pressing need within catchment management.
Our workstreams are; climate resilience, drought and flood mitigation, flood forecasting, water quality, carbon sequestration and sustainable agriculture. Many of our projects include elements of more than one of these themes and we have projects on our horizon with new themes emerging such as impact on health and wellbeing, promoting green and socially just economy as well as more traditional catchment solutions.
These projects are developed to:
- Translate existing data, models, knowledge and/or expertise into tools, solutions and approaches
- Share knowledge and best practice amongst practitioners and organisations
- Use academic research to support commercially viable products or services
They all start with discussions with practitioners from many organisations active in catchment management to come up with a programme of work. Find out more about how iCASP projects are developed, including the co-design workshops we run, and access the concept note template to submit a proposal.
We are keen to work with new partners and collaborators, if you have an idea for a project where we could possibly help email us.

Water efficiency standards

We have a range of additional projects that deliver a discrete impact in a short period of time. Some are time critical and focus on just one objective only – they can be developments of main projects. These mini-projects are usually carried out over just a few days, typically address one specific question and can be the starting point or basis for future work (that may or may not be carried out by iCASP).
