Impact Translation Fellow
Elke works with local and regional policy-makers on the more effective delivery of green and blue infrastructure in the Leeds City Region. Her role is to expose how a mainstream economic understanding of value and valuation – typically in the guise of cost-benefit-analysis – discriminates against the delivery of sustainable and just infrastructure and how these flaws might be overcome.
Elke has a PhD in Economics and Political Economy from the University of Leeds and an interdisciplinary background in Ecological Economics.
