iCASP Autumn Bulletin 26

Welcome to the autumn edition of our iCASP news bulletin.

As part of water@leeds, members of our team support the UK Freshwater Quality Programme, funded by NERC, DEFRA and DAERA, investigating differences sources and mixtures of pollution and the impacts of pollutants in our freshwaters. We also support two other major international projects –  WaterLANDS, working with the Great North Bog partnership, at one of six action sites for peatland restoration throughout Europe and EITWater, a new Knowledge and Innovation Community dedicated to addressing critical challenges across the water, marine and maritime sectors and ecosystems.

We continue to work on some exciting projects in 2026 with our partners in the region, across the UK and Europe. iCASP provides scientific leadership to West Yorkshire Flood Innovation Programme (WYFLIP) and is currently leading a review to explore the development of a more integrated water partnership approach and the future of the programme.

If you have ideas for how we might bring about positive changes to regional, national and international policy, then please get in touch.
