Meet Lucy Woods, our administrator and primary point of contact for iCASP.
She will be supporting us with a wide variety of tasks including procurement, helping to manage our finances, responding to queries, supporting and organising events and meetings and maintaining our databases.
Her previous role was in communications and administration at the Analytics Doctoral Training Centre, based at Leeds University, funded by the Economic and Social Research Council providing postgraduate research and training across four Universities.
Lucy is part-time, working for iCASP Mondays and Tuesdays and she will is also working part-time as a communications officer for COMET – The Centre for Observation and Modelling of Earthquakes, Volcanoes and Tectonics – a research project funded by the National Environment Research Council.
She has an MSc in Environmental Change and Society from the University of Glasgow and a background in international journalism specialising in climate change, published by the Ecologist, Mongabay, The Guardian and New Internationalist.
Lucy’s hobbies include talking to climate scientists and local communities about climate change solutions, travelling and foreign languages.
